Hi Griff,
I am just now in the middle of building a room onto my house and started shopping for my new 9 footer. I am pretty sure it will be a Chiricahua by Connelly. Really a great table from what I have seen and I really like the 4 bolt idea on the rails.

I am finally going to have room for a 9' table and the choices for a furniture style table are thin in the nine foot models. I think the Connelly will work the best for me. Good luck with yours. January....That is a long time to be standing there with your cue and a can of beer...

Course, I should shut up. It will probably be longer for me.

Is the difference in the $50 balls, and say, Brunswick Centennials worth the price? Where will you tell the difference? I know I have the el cheapos and had thought about buying a set of the Centennials.....then I get to thinking...you go to a bar..local pool hall.....and you will be shooting with old chipped up, cheapies with the colors so faded you can't tell which is what...Would like to get a response from someone.... 8)

You may not want to invest the big bucks in a good set of balls but I would advise every one with a home table to get a top quality cue ball. The cue ball is used in every shot and for around $15.00 to 20.00 it is a good investment. I have even known players to bring their own cue ball to the bar because they don't like the inconsitant rolls of the el-cheapo ball. Some tavern owners are now suppling quality cue balls for use on league nights.

Are the weights of the nicer balls exactly the same as the Brunswick or the better balls? I know you can buy different weighted cue balls.
