Joint Match needed

KJ - I am picking up a Varny cue and would like to know if you can match the joint collar of it to an existing Z2 shaft that I already own. Here is a pic please let me know what you can do.

Now, my question for you. What does your Z shaft have for ring work?

Actually I purchased it to make a short shaft when attached to the Air Cue. It is just not getting used as much as I thought it would. So I am getting this cue to kinda get some play with the shaft. It has the standard all Black collar from Predator.

What thread is in the shaft you have?

How tall is the black ring that's on it?

I'm guessing the ring work on the Varney isn't as tall, so.....
I can either make the Varney ring work taller or install it at correct height and cut the excess off the bottom of the shaft which means your shaft will come out about 1/8" shorter. Let me know when you're ready.

The thread on Predator shaft is the Standard Radial Pin. I don't have the shaft handy but is a standard one from Pred that comes off the shelf. Sry I am stuck in Alaska right now.. Shaft is in S. Korea.. (:confused3:Military:confused3:)

As for the height thing it really won't be that much of an issue so I will let you make that call when you get them.

Here is what I am thinking. I will just send what I have to you when I can actually get to it. If you are unable to use the Z shaft I send, I can just pick up a partial 314-2 and we can go from there.

I will honestly leave it up to you to make the call on what needs to be done to make it right, I trust your decision. What all do you need me to send to you.

I'll need your Varney shaft and I'll need the Z shaft that you have. I can do the conversion and I can do it right. You won't need to buy a partial. Let's use what you have.

KJ - I will be shipping my Varney out this Saturday to you. I can't wait!!!

I have spent the past few weeks thinking about exactly what I would like and here is what I have come up with. If you can accommodate this let me know or if you have any other suggestions for me to think about that would be great. I am in the, I want to try something different mood very much so..

I want to start with a 314-2 partial but using the same conical taper as a Z2 only with a 12.25mm Kamui Med tip. If you have any negative thoughts about this please let me know you opinion. I plan on sending you the whole cue or just the butt your choice. I am really comfortable with a regular z2 I have just been using a larger shaft as of late and it is more comfortable to me.

I picked up a jacoby that matches my current Z2 shaft so I won't need to do the conversion on it anymore.
