Had a question for the man. I got a stinger j/b a while back , it hits hard and all but I don't like the sealant on the shaft....it seems to get sticky quickly much like a cuetec. Is it possible to turn down the shaft past the sealant without damaging the ferrule/tip system?...and does it void the warranty? Thanks for any help.
Hi Chuckles,
I've got a good buddy that has been known to go by the name Chuckles. When I saw your name it made me think of him. Since I only see him like once/twice a year anymore, it made me grin. Thanx for that. I miss him.
Anyway, I'm going to get with Rick tomorrow and see what all the particulars are on this cue, warranty wise. I'll get back to you. KJ

Glad to make you grin..thanks KJ
OK Chuckles,
I spoke with Rick at Seybert's on this matter and he tells me there shouldn't be an issue with the warranty.
One thing you might try before performing any major surgery is, try using a light grit 'scuffy' pad, stroking length-wise on the shaft and then apply a light coat of car wax. This should allow the shaft to glide more easily in your bridge. If this does the trick, consider this treatment part of your routine maintenance.

Thanks KJ, I'll try that out.
