I ordered a mcdermott c100 with a qr joint and when I got it the collar on the butt is shorter than the collar on the shaft and to me the paint for the collar on the butt is kind of sloppy. I was wondering if you could extend the collar on the butt and maybe do it a little better than mcdermott can. Just wondering what the cost would be and if you could do it and what the turn around time would be.

Hello,
This is a brand-new cue, right? This sounds like an issue that you might want to address with McDermott. From what I'm reading, it's the ring-work under the joint collar and if that's the case, it's not painted on, it's an actual ring. You shouldn't have to pay for this repair and it's McDermott that should be making it right for you. At least contact the dealer that sold you the cue.

A pic would have been helpful. Sometimes it helps to SEE what you're talking about to avoid mistakes.
