Hi, I was wondering if someone with some experience of joss cues can tell me what he thinks about this cue (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=320230904716&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=011)
I would really appreciate it.
I'd be highly skeptical of the claim of an ivory butt-cap. What the cue went for is about what you'd pay to have an ivory butt-cap installed. There's a reason they call it 'flea-bay'. So......did you win?

I see, so this seems too low a price for what the guy says the cue has? And no I didn't bid on this but my friend was the winning bidder of this cue and he is trying to decide if he wants it or not. In terms of quality of construction etc... how would you rate this cue compared to other brands?
If you are asking me, for my personal opinion, then I can't help but be biased. But, the fact is, it doesn't matter what I think. I'm not the one playing with the cue. The winning bidder, your friend, should hit some racks with it and decide for himself what HE thinks of the cue. This may be the cue he's waited all his life for........or he may not like it. Only he can make the determination as to whether it's a 'keeper' or not.
since when a 6 years old cue is "vintage"....

Does this cue actually cost as much as the seller is claiming it does (retail: $699) ?
