I lived in Philippines. I want a predator z shaft, which is custom perfect fit for my cue. but my cue has many ivory inlays. And I am aware that in order to match the shaft for my cue butt i have to send it there.
Is it safe to send my cue there in U.S. even if there is a ban in ivory? is there a chance that my cue will reach your place without having confiscate by the U.S customs?
Bernard,
I can't speak for, nor can I guarantee, anything the US Customs Dept. will or won't do. What I can guarantee you is that I don't use ivory. I use several ivory substitutes but will not use real ivory. Rick at Seybert's may be able to tell you more about the US Customs guidelines.

Just a suggestion.
How about buying a Z partial shaft from Seybert's and have one of the local cue makers fit it to your cue butt? If you're in Metro Manila, I can give you 3 cue makers who'll do it for you. :)

Now there's a novel idea. I don't believe that Customs would have a problem with wood.

i don't think i should buy a partial, the construction of phenolic facings in the shaft seems complicated so I just let KJ do the work, what if i just send a photo of my cue butt can you make a shaft fit for it? how about BK2 can you make a custom BK shaft for my other cue(5x16x14) and match the ring?
Hi Bernard,
I'd be very interested in seeing a photo of the ring-work at the joint of your cue. Be mindful though, that a photo will not give me dimensions. It may be a good place to start.
I can change the insert of a BK2 to fit a 5/16 x 14 pin.
