I am considering the purchase of a cuetec thunderbolt #99405 (w/leather wrap). Can anyone comment on the thunderbolt?

i've never tried one, but i've heard they are a pretty good shaft. no fiberglass for people that hate that. graphite truss rod lets you have a really long 20" pro taper. also is a pretty decent shaft in terms of deflection, i think this is because the truss rod is hollow. also interestingly, if you go to www.cuetec.com right now, someone hacked their site

I've got one that I converted into a break cue and it works pretty good. I had a first run that was my shooting cue but they were defective and the shaft warped in a couple of weeks. Cuetec replaced it for free, but I was without a cue for a few weeks and I bought a Viking to replace it. I then put a Predator 314 on my Viking and converted my new Thunderbolt into a break cue. I recently put a phenolic tip on it and it blows up the rack something fierce.
As a shooting cue with a leather tip or as a break cue with a hard or phenolic tip it's a good cue in my opinion.
