I got this pic from Bryan Mordt today. The cue should be assembled at the end of Aug.
It's gonna have a leather wrap but I haven't decided on the colour, I'm leaning towards brown though.
Any suggestions?

I always loved the pictures of Bryan - I think taking a nice photograph of a cue is vital - and makes your stuff sell much easier.
I love the colors of the points, they look great - are they ivory and amboyna burl?
As for the wrap... a darker brown leather wrap would do the trick for sure but I wonder what would it look like with a light(er) brown one... [I wouldn't go for a black wrap for some reason]
I know you suggested leather but what about a brown + black speck. Irish linen?
I think that brown will blend with the points, I would go with a black tail lizard leather wrap

You are right...:!: that's why I suggested the lighter brown wrap. And for the same reason that you said a brown would match the cue - as it would match the color of the butt sleeve and the points, but on the other hand the black would highlight the points for sure...
Skor has the point.

The long points on the forearm are camphor burl and the short ones are holly wood.
You are right Skor I think black would be a better choice.
Thank you for the input guys.

That is going to be a sweet looking cue buddy, and definitely black lizard will set it off very nicely. When will it be ready? You have to post photos of this cue when it's done.

It was supposed to be ready last week but Mr. Mordt has had a few setbacks so we're looking at Sept at the earliest.
I think I'm gonna try to sell it though.

Sorry buddy, no go. My friend's got other things going on right know and can't spend the monies right now. I don't think this cue will be hard to sell though, it's a really nice cue, and the Camphor Burl is some amazing wood. Put it up for sale here and AZ.

I wish I could take it, I really do like it, just to much on the drawing board. I don't hate to say this but, your decision to buy a Diveney is a wise choice. :) You will love it and Pat is great to work with.

You can find his pricing here: http://bcmcue.com/cue-pricing.htm. I know that it is for 2006 but it gives you a little help to see in what price range he's in.

This one is around $1260 because of the ivory and leather wrap.
