Yep I just ordered another CC. It's Mexican coco (very swirly)with no points, fancy paua shell and ivory rings on all A/B/C/D/E positions, ivory joint and ferrules and black lizard leather wrap.
Should be done in late September or early October.

It sounds like it's gonna be a nice looking cue. As always, post photos when you get it. I'll have my CC cues in like 3 weeks. I'll be in NY in mid August, and picking up 5 cues altogether, 2 are Carolinas.

I'll have new photos tomorrow on the Diveney, this is the cue I'm really waiting for and I'll have it in August also. 7 months in the making. This cue will be the nicest in the collection until I get my Gem Cue from Bender and my Dragon cue from Schick late next year Oct. or Nov. 08. The Diveney will be my everyday player though.

Good deal man. I was tempted to buy this Diveney: http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=67537

Changed my mind and decided to get the CC instead and exactly the way I like it.
Post some pics when you get them.

That's some nice Cocobolo. How many cues do you have in your collection?

Well let's see. I don't have a fancy collection like yours and probably never will but I'm happy with each and every one of them:
- 3 Jazz, 1 is a a break stick. These are built by a local guy here in Orlando, nothing fancy but excellent players.
- A Joss with a pred Z-2 shaft.
- The CC like your Capone.
- Predator sneaky pete with a 314-2 shaft.

This is what I have on order:
- 2 Olneys, the one above and a 6 pointer.
- An 8 point Bryan Mordt with ivory joint and ferrules and leather wrap.
- The CC mentioned above.

I would also like to eventually get a Diveney and a Capone, we'll see.

As long as your happy with what you got, that's all that matters, right? With the Olneys and the Mordt on the way, you got some nice stuff. 1 Carolina cue in hand and with another on order, which will look great. I have heard Jazz make a nice solid hitting cue also. you got some nice cues, You should be happy. As for a Diveney, I highly recommend one even before you get a Capone. Pat builds a hell of a cue. The playability and balance of Pat's cues are at the top of my list of playing cues. My 2 Diveney's have The G-10 pin, which is my favorite pin. I have a Cognoscenti with the G-10 pin that I bought 4 years ago, and that's where I discovered the hit of the G-10 pin. The feedback you get with the G-10 pin is awesome. When you do get a Diveney, get it with his new Radial G-10 pin, that's my recommendation. Best pin on the market IMHO. My Butterfly Diveney has got a 3/8-11 G-10 pin, and my new one will have his new Radial G-10 pin. Hopefully I'll have photos today or tomorrow to post.

Don't know much about the G-10 pins. Is that made of glass? Explain it to me please.
Thanks.

The technology was discovered by NASA. it's a layered glass epoxy with a vertical strength stronger than Steel. It comes in sheet and rod from. It transmits energy perfectly through the pin into the cue so you get a pure crisp hit and feel. For example, I take my cue and put the tip up to my throat and speak, I can feel the vibration from my voice go through the cue, only with a G-10 pin. Only a cue with a G-10 pin, can you feel this, no other pin on the market can do this. This is why Pat's cues hit so crisp & pure, it's a sweet hit.

Wow, that sounds cool. I have heard that Bryan Mordt has used this type of pin, I ought to contact him and ask him about it.....can't hurt right?

Joe Gold (Cognoscenti) uses the G-10 pin exclusively. A few other custom cue makers use it as well. I have a one cue, a Chester Crick, with that pin and I do like it.

Got my Olney today :D. Pics don't do justice, this coco is simply amazing.
It's also a workout to screw and unscrew the cue! I had never seen a shaft fit so snug to a butt.
Can't wait to hit a few balls with it tonight.

The cue sounds nice. take a little soap and rub it on the threads of the pin and it will loosen it up a little. My benders were the same way and i did that now it's nice, still snug but not a fight to tighten or loosen anymore, don't over do it with the soap though.

Thanks, I'll try that.
