Hello trej33,
I'm going to suggest that you try a drop of clear nail-polish to fill the chip.
I don't know what the cure time is for nail-polish so I'm also going to suggest that you place it under a light bulb so the heat will hasten the cure time. When it is sufficiently hard, sand it done to size starting with 400 grit wet/dry sandpaper & a little water. Next, move to 600 grit & then 1000 grit (with water). You will still have very fine sanding marks that might be removed with toothpaste. To bring everything back to full gloss, use some polishing compound. A little carnuba car wax & you should be good to go. YOU may be able to see where the chip was because you are aware of it but I doubt anyone else will unless you tell them.
