I have a hybrid cue made by Gale Clark and Ernie Martinez. It's shoots great using a Triangle tip on the shaft. When I replaced the tip with a Le Pro it shot poorly. However, my Predator SPW shoots great using a Le Pro tip. So I feel that shaft performance is a function of whichever tip is used. Y'all gotta' learn to replace your own tips and experiment with a variety of them to find the best combination. It's cheaper that way.
