I have a Harry Richards custom cue. He uses radial pin for a joint. If I order an OB1 or Z2 shaft for the butt, will it match up in size? Are joints a standard size? Thanks

Hello Dream,
Actually, there is no industry standard on joint sizes. The fact that you have a custom cue means that the builder could have decided on a joint size of his choosing. This is the primary reason that we request that you send in your cue when having it 'fitted' for a shaft. In most instances, unless there is something out of the ordinary in your ringwork, I can have the cue on it's way back to you within a week.
Most aftermarket shafts come with the choice of either a single black ring or with a single silver ring set in black. A lot of times these match-up pretty well.
If you'd like the diameter of the shaft to match the diameter of the handle at the joint and you'd rather not send in your handle then you can find someone with a set of calipers and measure that diameter at the joint of what you have now and we can match that diameter, for a small charge, before we send you the shaft. There is generally only a 2 to 3 day wait for this service.

Thanks KJ. I appreciate the information and will get back with you if I decide to get another shaft.
