This time I would like to ask you whether you have had come across a Bunjee Jump cue ever (or even had owned one) because a good friend of mine wants to get one but he is doubtful if the jump's butt will fit into a shaft department of a 2×4 case (for example).
Thank you in advance for your replies,
Pooh
The Bunjee is a good jump cue and was the best at the time it came out BUT today you can get better cues for less... I say better because the tip on the Bunjee is a composite material which is harder then leather but softer then phenolic that you'll find on most jump cues now days and it is much easier to jump with a phenolic tip.
I think that the Lucasi jumps better and the J&J is your best buy, unless you're looking for the best around and willing to spend $150 - $200 on a jump cue then you have Mezz or Jackoby or the Jumster (or the coming Predator).

Thank you for the tip on the Lucasi, maybe that one is going the be the one :)
As for the case issue I have thought about ordering a Bunjee jump case (http://www.seyberts.com/pool_cues/series-series_id-57.htm) - however I'm wondering if this case can surround any cue case but I believe I won't get screwed up with that one..
What case does your friend have?
The Jump cue butt will fit in almost all the cases that have a long pouch

It's a BCE case, it's a simple-looking case, pretty similar to this one: http://www.seyberts.com/pool_cues/case.php?case_code=P24BK&brand_id=1 but that one has a bit moer oval top. I think that that is not thicker than any other general case...
He has tried a different jump-butt but that one hasn't fit into a shaft department because the last few inches of the butt was standing out way too much in this way making it impossible to close the case...
The case in the picture is a porper case and a jump cue handle does fit in it.
Is this the BCE case your friend has?
This one is a 2x3 and it looks as if a jump cue handle will fit in it

Yes, I'm 99.9999% sure - you know he lives in a city about 140 miles away from Budapest (it's called Debrecen) and I see him very rarely. But anyways, thank you for the pic, this is the case he owns so I cannot understand why did he say that a jump butt does not fit into a shaft department..
It's not goint to fit into a shaft tube. it's going to fit into the large pouch

Alright, but he wanted to put it into a shaft dep. I think... I don't know.. I reckon that the final solution will be a Bunjee jump case, that should do the trick ;o)
Thank you for your help, skor!

Be warned that the Lucasi does jump well, but I switched to a J&J and never jumped so easy before... the Lucasi took much more effort ( it was a lighter cue ) to get the same "pop" off the table. My personal preference is the J&J and it's the same price as the Lucasi... but you get a break cue/ jumper combo instead of just a jump cue.

Thank you for your input, tsuguy! I'll keep that in mind and ask my friend's opinion on that one - and I am considering purchasing a j/b from here... but as it seems now I won't have enough dough after buying a Predator LE case... damn, I want that case sooo much... However a very good pool partner of mine has a 10 years old break cue that is such a great cue that I am considering buying that one from him - he has another j/b that he uses in stead of that old one...
Thanks again.

Is there specific model from J&J that performs better than others? Looking at their website, it seems that they have different variations of their j/b and a variance in price.

all the 27xx models use the same shaft, it's just the butt design that is different. also they make a jump cue too, that i think also uses the same shaft as the j/b

bunjee jump cues are real good, i've played with one for a couple years now and they do jump well but tough to keep the cb on the table at all times, stealth jump cue, with its hard leather tip has much better control.
