Ok, you have had your Capone almost a month now, how do you like the way it plays and feels??

I just reread a post by you, saying you have not used the Capone shaft yet. I think you would like the original shaft cause it's got a 3/4" ferrule which helps with low deflection. Don't worry about splitting the shaft on the radial pin, it snuggs down tight, that's the way it should be. I like the way Mikes cues play, and I think his shafts are good also.

i love it. it came out exactly the way i wanted it, right around 18.5 oz with an 18.5 balance point. i based those specs on a predator p2 i had that i always liked. the capone has a solid soft kind of hit and just feels real comfortable to hold. as for the shaft, i would like to try out the original and get away from the predator shafts, just not yet. i have the apa national singles coming up and dont want to try to fix something that isnt broke. im trying to order a bender now through roy but apparently he hasnt been able to get a hod of him. i think he had somewhere to go after valley forge. hopefully i find out something this week.

Yup, I have been playing a lot with them. I don't like the SW that much, I don't know why, but I just don't. I have been letting my shooting partner use the SW, it brought him up 2 balls. Everybody that uses the cue goes up a ball, not me, it's wierd. The Pechaure is real nice, the BlueGrass is a good hitting cue also. I really like the butterfly S. Klein cue also that I bought at the show. I was shooting with my Capone today, mannn I like that cue, I just don't use it that much, The cue I shoot with the most is my Diveney. You'll really like the hit of a Bender when you get yours, It will be a hard choice to make, which one you will use as your player. It's a different hit, a little more stiff and chrisp hitting. change of plans on the bender. i was going to order it through roy so i could chop the wait time down but after our original conversation i didnt hear back from him (he was going to pass it on to mike for a price) and called a week later. he was apparently having trouble getting a hold of him and i havent heard anything since. that was a few weeks ago. im guessing mike is pretty busy, i hear he is making some masterpiece cue for some guy :x . i decided to order a scruggs in the meantime. bender is next on my list though. i probably wont shoot with it, i like the capone that much and i dont see how i could like anything better. i am going to try to get in the habbit of not using them as every high end cue i have now has at least one ding in it except for 1. tell me some details on that bender your ordering and whats the ETA on it?

That masterpiece is mine!! Ebony, Ivory, Abalone, Silver, 2cts. 2mm D-VS1 Russian cut Diamonds, 6cts. 2mm fine Brazilian Emeralds & 3cts. 2mm fine Alexandrite, 3 sectioned handle, and I hope it will be ready in August.

Don't worry about any dings or scratch's cause, it can always be refinished by Mike at anytime. It's not like a Balabushka if you refinish the cue the value goes down 25% and it can't be done by the original maker cause he's dead.

i know its yours. when i was at the expo i was sitting down with roy at a table near the front entrance. bender was there talking to you i think. roy was trying to get mike to come over but he ended up going to lunch with the person he was talking to. later i found out from roy that the reason he went to lunch and didnt stop was because he was working on the design of a real fancy cue while at lunch. i put 2 and 2 together later and figured it was you. i remember you mentioning something about it a while back. it was you right?
i cant wait to see that thing. :P :P :P
