Does anyone use a McDermott Cue with this joint? How does it feel compared to the normal wood to wood joint?

I'm sure it's a bit late, but I do own a Navigator II cue from McDermott. I had owned a standard Players cue before this with a wood-to-wood joint, and was concerned about the hit being too firm. Obviously there's a "small" <chuckle> difference between the quality of a $100 Players cue and a $700 McDermott cue, but the hit was astonishngly soft and "quiet". I've also talked with several other players that own McDermott's with the quick release joint, and they all say the same thing. If you've gone ahead and purchased the cue, you probably already know this.

I have a $1500 McDermott Sexton and the hit is softer and quiter than one would expect from looking at the joint.
