Just got my new Fury Jump/Break yesterday. Won't have a chance to hit with it until this weekend, so this is just some quick first impressions out of the box.

Fit and finish are pretty good, but my Cuetec seems to be better in that department. There was some dried glue or something on the upper part of the leather wrap, which felt more like pleather to me. The phenolic ferrule/tip looks good, although the tip is pretty flat. Joints seem fine, I guess. Put together fully, it does feel just a bit front heavy. Not sure if that's a good or bad thing....

Can't wait to try this baby out. :)

Congratulations for your new cue, Fenris!

I've played with one of these - as this is a very-very popular break cue around here - and I liked it!
That glue stuff is going to be an easy work to remove. The phenolic tip was always a bit flat on all the fury b/js I've seen (I saw a few one) but I don't think that that should a problem.
If that's a bit front heavy is not a problem either - in my opinion.. I think the follow-through will be easier and maybe you'll be able to put just a little more speed into the cue as a result of the slight front-balance.

Great cue, I wish you many 9-ball breaks with it (o:

Having a flatter profile on your phenolic tip should not cause any problems on either your breaking or jumping. I personally like a break cue that is balanced more towards the rear, but I also know plenty of people that are happy with their Fury B/J. My instructor had one and liked it very much. He was also a Fury rep as well.
