I have a schuler cue and I was wondering if a predator shaft can be fitted to it, and if so how much<

Most of the Schuler cues have a 5/16x14 joint (as far as I know). You can have a 314(2) in this type of joint with a black collar for 191.20$ and a 314(2) with black collar and a silver ring also for 191.20$ (which is quite strange to me - that the prices are the same..) These prices are Seybert's prices.

sorry, I built my idea upon the chart of seybert's! You may find it (I know you know this chart just telling you where did I find my info) here: http://www.seyberts.com/pool_cues/shafts-shaft_type_id-46-brand_id-4.htm

Here's a link: "Need help finding the joint syle of your cue? Click Here" So sorry for the "false" info from me )))o:

I might be wrong but I think both the Schuler and Layani joints are protected by patent. To get a shaft fitted to one of there cues you have to go through them.

But as I can see, Schuler has to be some more expensive, more exclusive cue or something... So why would you want to buy a pred. for it? Well, at all it's not my business and I can understand you somewhere of course..
Perhaps you should try seybert's too as they can custom fit shafts too!

Schuler made some eally nice cues, they are well balnced and feel great and hit great as well, but if you want a low deflection shaft then you'll have to fit it with a Predator shaft (or another brand...)
The Schuler joint does give a good hit and feel to the cue.

Schuler will make a shaft for their joint but you will need to go through a Schuler dealer.

It may be a mute point since this thread is 2 yrs. old but Seybert's CAN & WILL do a Predator shaft, or any other shaft for that matter, for a Schuler joint.

Since Ray Schuler is no longer with us I rather get a Schon unless you can find an original Schuler builed by Ray.
