With my Bunjee Jumper I can jump from a ball away on any table. With a regular cue on Simonis cloth, I need about 8-10 balls. Regular cue on normal felt, 5-6 balls...
I can jump a "ball away" with almost any jump cue

I have a Dr Popper from McDermott and I can fairly consistently jump as little as a half inch away with it. It looks like a toy but it turns cue balls into flying objects.

This is a neat little deal. With the proper practice and technique, jumping from half an inch or closer is definitely possible with this cue. I have to admit that when he started using it, I had to come over and ask immediately what it was he was using. It almost looks more like something you would see in a classroom than a poolhall. Looks more like a pointer than a pool cue.

intersting instrument, never knew of it's existence untill this post... I saw the video on McDermott web site and it looks impressive.... BUT I don't think that this cue is legal....
From the WPA Tournament Table & Equipment Specifications:
The cue tip on any stick must be composed of a piece of specially processed leather or other fibrous or pliable material that extends the natural line of the shaft end of the cue and contacts the cue ball when the shot is executed..
Clearly this is not the case.... and since it's not legal by the WPA then it's not legal by the BCA as well...

I just sent an email to McDermott asking that very question.

According to McDermott, the Dr Popper is legal with the BCA.
