I've been researching for almost all kinds of cues and I'm still undecided which one to get.. I recently visited Bryan Mordt's (www.bcmcue.com) web site and i think his cues are great. Well, that's just the way they look but has anyone here tried to shoot with bcm cues?

Your opinions are greatly appreciated.. Thanks and Merry Christmas in advance!!! :D :D :D

Bryan makes a fine cue, you won't be disapointed if you get one.

So am I! I love his site's and his cue's looks! I've read good opinions about his cues plays and I also thought about contacting with him but I won't have enough money to have a cue from him :o( (I've downloaded the pricelist from his site :o((( )

Well after a long research on custom cues I have decided to go with a Bryan Mordt :)
Those interested click on the link below and scroll down to cue #23.
http://www.bcmcue.com/sold_cues.htm

I made a couple of changes to it though: black leather wrap and the shafts will be 12.25 mm.
It's gonna take him 5 months to build them and it's probably gonna be the longest months ever but I have a feeling I'm gonna be pretty happy with the choice I have made.

PoolDad, Brian's designs are simply "classy". Nothing gaudy and busy about his choices. IMHO...he has one of the nicest looking selections. I think that you will be well satified. What wood choices did you make? And what basic design will the cue sport?

The idea of the black leather is fine but I like the way it looks with that linen too! 12,25 is easy to understand..
..But five months! Whoa.. I've been checking Mordt's homepage for a long time and I also really like the way his cues look - but unfortunately I've never played with one, and what's even worse, I won't do that within a couple of years from now.. But when I will, I believe I'll be amazed how they look in reality and also how they play..

Congratulations!

Daluqfam,
The wood I picked is ebony and camphur burl, 8 points the long ones are burl and shorter ones are holly with a white veneer and the joint is ivory. The cue is basically just like #23 on his site but instead of Thuya burl is gonna be Camphur burl as Thuya is from Morocco and very hard to find.
I went with brown lizard leather wrap, I think it makes the cue more elegant.
I don't like too many points or designs on cues, they look too busy.

Yeah Poohkiller 5 months is a long time but it gives me something to look forward to...... :)

I asked Bryan about buying the spliced forearms from Prather and he just said that he's still buying some stuff from them.
It doesn't really matter though, quality and playability is all I care about.
