Im brand new here ...so I may be asking questions that are in theback-posts.
Im pre-apologizing for that ..or any really dumb stuff I might ask.

Im getting my used table delivered this weekend.
I want to get 3-4 good house cues and dont know what woulde ok.
Im used to being a part-time bar player....whenI stopped by a local pool-hall...I was surprised at how much better their house ques were than the average bar "hockey-stick"

Do all new cues some with tip on that are basiclaly "ready to play"

I also wanted to know lighting suggestions,My table is "pro-8" .
Would I be better off with 4 fixtures overhead instead of the more standard 3?

Hi Mike, welcome to the forum.

Most of the new cues come with tips that are "ready" to play, some will need some shaping.

Regarding which cues to get, it's is really up to your budget, you can find some here at Seyberts
http://www.seyberts.com/pool_cues/brand-brand_id-30.htm

If you like to give your pool room a touch of class and your budget will allow it then you can also consider getting cheap two piece cues instead of the traditional one piece house cues.

I think that 3 fixtures will be fine, I've played on 9 ft. tables with only 3 fixtures and it was fine...
