Although I'm not a big McDermott fan, I really like the looks of that cue of the year....
Nice starting collection, let it grow.... :D

Nice, also remember, the whole thing about collecting is to enjoy what you have and make sure YOU like it. It can be worth nothing, but as long as YOU like what you have and see, you can't go wrong. You've got a great collection so far, keep it up and if you really want to add some value, try going to events (if you can afford it, I know it'd be tough for me to) and having them signed by the professionals.

Thanks for ure reviews u are right i must get them signed by pro's, i do have a set of 15 balls signed by pro' s, but i will get my cue done as well. The thing is that in my place ie Dubai, you dont get any cues most of my cues are imported from us so i end up paying a lot on shipping charges that is one of the reasons why my budget shrinks, i want to get a custom cue, i might go for a tim scruggs wht do you think any suggestions.
Thanks
Vikash
Tim Scruggs makes beautiful cues, I really like his style and they are great cues to add to any cue collection.
I know what you mean regarding the shipping costs (we are in the same neighborhood..... ) BUT when you pay $2000 for a cue, what's another $70 for shipping....

Yea I must agree with skor, but I can see what you mean. And yea if you can get those signed, they'd be worth a pretty penny one day, would be a hell of a collection.

So skor, how do you get custom cues you contact the cuemakers directly, or do you have anyone in us who ship out the products to you.
Most cue makers will ship worldwide

Skor do you have ivory ferrule, how did you manage to ship it out most of the dealers who i met are saying its risky and that they could confestigate the product. One last thing i know i have asked you this a lot of time
Josswest
Tim Scruggs
Bill McDaniel
Samsara
any 1 whats your call, i am goiing for a small tour to singapore so i am plannin to buy any one 100%.
Thanks
All of those cue makers are making great cues, not just when it comes to looks but also to play with....
I have a Bill McDaniel cue and I really love it, you can't go wrong with either one of them, it's more up to the design and cost.
I do not have ivory ferrule, but the butt of my McDaniel has 48 ivory inlays.... I had no problem with getting it over here. I don't think that your avarage customs clerk knows that the cue has ivory in it, unless it says so on the inventory... for all it worth, it could be a substitute material.
I heard that some cue makers paint over the cue with a special paint (like Signmask peelable paint) when shipping overseas to avoid that problem and then you just peel it off when you get the cue.

Hey skor (need help) i am really interested to buy a southwest the jerry franklin era cue, is the trend of the price still going up or will it come down, i am not worried about the price, it seems that the hit of the southwest is something totally unexplicable is it true.........
Thx
Never hit with one so I can't tell you, but that's what they all say...
As for value, since jerry franklin has passed away the value of cues that were made by him will always keep their high value or rise.

i just recieved one, its definately a great hitting cue. i didnt buy it to use so i only shot one rack out. if i keep using it, it WILL get dinged. my conclusion is that if it was 1 1/2 ounces lighter as its almost 20 right now and if it had a z shaft on it (the shaft felt like a log on my bridge), i would probably use it. i am actually keeping my eyes open for a lighter one to use but the lightest i have seen so far is low 19's and i may have seen a high 18. i dont have any experience with custom cues as this is my first one but this hits a lot better than my p2's, a lot more solid feeling.
