Is the Ivory original

Thanks i did find the ivory ferrules, is there a way in which one can find out if the ivory used is original....

Original?!? As in virgin or was it something else before it was ivory?

No as in if someone sells you/installs a ferrule(ivory) how do you know if the ferrule is ivory or not, is there a way in which one can find out if the ferrule used is original

i believe the word he's looking for is authentic, to tell you the truth I'm not sure just by looking at it, I'm sure someone here would have some suggestions though.
