I've a toally subjective question for anyone who's shot with the McDermott "SEDONA"...
Can you discribe the feel of the hit you got with it with the QR joint that it comes with?
I'm a huge fan of the way the 3/8x10 wood to wood joint and was wondering if the QR joint is any different.
Thanks for the inputs.

The QR is metal to metal joint there will be a stiffer hit from it. It won't hit like the McDermott 3/8 x 10 that is wood to wood. That is why I haven't upgraded to a higher end McDermott. I am thinking about going custom.

I asked Seyberts about it and their cue maker can make the change for an extra $75; and there won't be the 5 to 6 week delay. When I order, I'll most likely have it done.
Going to get a Moori III Medium tip put on too.

Well that is cool they can change it, but I like sniper tips. I haven't been fond of the Moori tips at all.

Good luck with your new cue.

$680 plus the upgrade is a fair amount of cash for a cue. Not to question the work of Seybert's cue smith but I think I would have McDermott build the cue for me the way I want it. What is six to eight weeks on a cue that you will be uising for the rest of your life?

I agree, plus you don't lose out on the warranty.

All excellent points! Thanks. I'll have to look deeper into this. Have asked Rick about it on the pre-perchase helpdesk tool.
Thanks again!
