Not sure it this has been asked before but I would like to know what kind of taper Schon shafts have. Pro or euro?
Thanks. :)

I'll go out on a limb and say it's a pro taper. I haven't really checked into a Schon's taper, so this is just an educated guess. Euro tapers, based on my limited knowledge refers to the likes of snooker cues which typically have smaller tips and more aggressive tapers, where as pro tapers are more akin to pool cues. I might not be wording that right, but I think I got the basic idea straight.
If not, I'm sure someone else will set everything aright. 8)
it's somewhere inbetween.... it's shorter then the tapper of a predator 314 or mcdermott or meucci

Think of a pro taper as an ice cream cone with a pencil stuck in the bottom. An over simplification but that's the general idea.
Some cues have more "pencil" sticking out than others. Schon cues have less "pencil" than most other production cues.
Check out the website for Schuler cues. The give a great explantion of different tapers and the relative benifits of each.
Something like this......

Thanks guys for clearing that up. :D A special thanks to skor, of course, for taking the time to post the pictures. Very helpful.
Now the question is if you place your bridge hand a bit far from the cue, the regular pro taper would be better than the Schon's?
I think that it's something that you can get used to

Maybe so. I saw Alex Pagulayan win the national pool championship just last weekend and his bridge hand was a bit far from the cue ball. Oops, I forgot he uses a 314 shaft. :)
Anyway, to hijack my own thread, the WPC will be held here in the Philippines this November. Anyone coming here? skor? :D
I wish......
but I can't
don't have the time or the money......

Hello, nathar.
If you're referring to Alex winning, I meant the nationals here in the Philippines. :)
How about selling one of your cues?
ahhh................................. NO :!:
I've checked the flight options I have to get to the Philippines and it cost around $1300....... that's way out of my budget :?
