I saw this "Masconi" cue while browsing on ebay and I thought it looked really nice. It has that classic look of 4 veneered points with a white maple forearm which I really like. The price seems reasonable, but is it worth it?

It's decent, but personally I would not bid any higher than 150 bucks...
Being that the buy it now price is less than that, looks okay to me.

Is this a good playing cue? I was thinking about getting a Viking, but this is certainly less expensive and more of the style cue I was looking for.

One of my first cues was an Adams. Still have it to this day. They are decent cues, but I would put Viking a good bit over top of the Adams.
Adam cues are well made cues, their Carom cues are considerd great by pro carom players, they are made in Japan and unlike the chinese cues the japanese make good cues.
This cue is part of a collection set of 8 cues that are sold together for over $4000, so divide it by 8 and you'll know its value

I would spend the same amount on a good new McDermott or a new Vicking for the same price and you would probably be more happy. Plus they have warranties. Buying new you will insure that it will be straight too!

I'll probably shoot for a Viking then. Thanks for the advice.
