been playing with same cue about 7yrs (espirutu) wanting to get a new one, I like the schons art work and like all the positive comments about predator ,good stiff hit important, any suggestions ?:?
Schon by far make a better hitting/playing cue
A combination of a schon cue with a Predator shaft feels like the ultimate wepon....
I got a basic Shon and I like to play with it more then I do with my $2000 custom cue....
I like it better then any Predator cue I've tried (I owned one for more then 7 years and tried quite a few other models including the P2)
Predator are making great shafts and I'm a 314 fan but when it comes to butts... I'll take Schon over any other cue.

thanks Skor , think I already was leaning that way I just needed a nudge, to spend $843 on a schon stl 14 at seybert's of course. :D
Nice choice.... I was considering this model my self once but was really into the stl-9.... couldn't get it in the configuration I wanted (wight and colors) and after turning every stone I went with a McDaniel custom cue... it's a great cue ans I love it.
I got the STL-3 (with gray stain) as a backup cue but it plays so great that I've been using it most of the time....
Here are the two cues....

I just test hit with a bunch of different production cues and my decision finally came down to the Schon STL , i think it was the 7 model and a predator p2. They were both amazing cues to play with in my opinion and you can't go wrong with either one. For me, I chose the p2 for no other reason than it just felt more natural in my personal hands but whatever you decide you will be extremely happy with.
I found it really hard to find a p2 to test and finally found a friend of a friend who met me at a pro shop to let me hit with his for me.
Many places will let you buy a Schon with a 314 shaft instead of the Schon shaft, which is really nice not to have to buy a shaft you won't wnd up using if your into using a predator shaft (not to say you have to of course).
Enjoy your new cue and tell us how it goes.
