Pool Hall Nick's

Reading PoolSleuth's latest post I saw he had listed a nickname from his pool hall...

All the regulars at Clicks (which I miss) had a nickname, including myself...

Now when I was in high school I had a few nicks as well. People signed my year book greeting Kungfu Ninja Man or Bruce Lee, I am sure you can all guess why....

But at Clicks I was quickly given a nickname of Narc... Why you ask?? Because EVERYONE there thought I was an undercover narcotics officer building a case to bust everyone there... Ironic that in some ways they were not far off, however I could care less about the drug use and such...

Anyway, I was known to a few people as Narc, a few others as Ray's Brother (has nothing to do with brother, but that is another story), to some as Hong Kong Fooey, NTN Guru, Geek, Nerd, Dork, Super Dork, etc... I had a few nicks... sigh.... But I really liked Narc, that was funny....

Anyway, looking to see what other's nicks are here? I know where skor comes from, but dont know other like dags_lax, etc...

Anyone care to share?

Well I can't say I've earned a pool room name yet, but I had a few from highschool. One that stuck. Originally I was called Fro. I grew my hair out long. Well my hair, ever since puberty has been kinda course and kinky. Needless to say, after gym class, it was all over the place. The one that stuck was Brillowolf. Our highschool soccer team went to a preseason camp during the summer. We were instructed by our camp coach to give each other nicknames. Well, being that I was the only one on the team that had hair on their chest, and someone's joke that it looked like I had glued a brillopad to my chest, I so earned my name.

I'm sure before too much longer I will have earned my poolhall nickname. Although with some of the guys I shoot with I'm almost afraid to guess what it might be. :D

My nickname in highschool was Z-money. I dont know where I got that nickname from....but one day people just started calling me it. Even know when I see some highschool buddies they call me Z-money....who knows...

Haha, in highschool there were plenty of kids there who should of had "money" as part of their name compared to me. Somehow....

A lot of the oldtimers at the local Eagles Club called me dags but most of those who did so have passed on, so outside this forum I am rarely refered to by that name.

Dags is a pluralized abbreviation of my last name. Lax is a shorthand abbreviation for my home town. I ended up combining the two because I needed to create a login id (before Seybert's) and just plane "dags" was not available. I have tended to reuse the moniker because it simplifies my life.

Cebu is my hometown and I'm a boy (wait let me check... mmm... there it is! yes, I am!)

Cebu, by the way, has great beaches. (Please note the spelling...)

I was at a local watering hole one night and knocking back a few. They had a crappy bar-box table with a bunch of drunks shooting. So i decided to introduce myself, put my quarters up. At which point drunk one asks whats your name? I say Jerry.....well Jerry we don't let boys play with the BIG DOGS. I asked well do you big dogs play for buckets? Needless to say about 6 buckets later I drunkly said you may be the BIG DOGS but I am the BYG JERRY.....my friends could not stop laughing and it stuck ever since.....
