View Full Version : Change Schon Joint?
Is it possible to change the joint on a current model Schon to a Uni-Lok?
It's possible but why would you? My local cuemaker uses 3/8-11 Southwest type pins in his cues with buckhorn collars which is much better. It's you money anyway so I can't tell you how to spend it on high priced firewood. Then again, you could have been really stupid and bought a Meucci.
I really like the ease of the quick release Uni-Lok. I case my cues and use them a few times every day on my own table. My favorite que is a Schon and it's the only one I own that isn't a Uni-Lok and that's why I want to make this modification.
Anyone know of a ue smith that can do this?
Our cuemaker will do this for you for around $100.00.

Yes, a uni-lock joint is nice but if you are happy with the way your cue shoots now why would you risk changing just to save a few seconds?
If you want to keep your favorite cue as favorite feeling cue, you should not change the joint. Changing joint would make total changing of your cue feeling.
