I played with a Falcon for just over a year and thought it was a solid production cue. Mine had the steel joint which is on most of their cues. It hit fairly solid and was balanced pretty well for me.

For comparison, I thought it was better than the Vikings and McDermotts I'd played with. I had a better hit and the workmanship seemed better.

I wouldn't recommend spending, say, over $350- $400 on one. For upwards of those amounts, you can find deals on custom cues and probably get a new low end Schon, which I moved onto and felt was a better cue.

Hope this helps.

Iagree with the above poster, if you are looking to spend enough money that will get you a Schon that is definatly the way to go. If you are spending less than that, but more than the basic McDermott or Viking, Jacoby and Jackson are better cues than Falcons in my opinion. And I don't mean that as any kind of knock against Falcon, they are good cues.

If you know what type of hit you like from a cue, then you can make a better decision about which one you want to buy. Here is a website that tells you what cue shafts have the most deflection and the lowest deflection. Keep in mind they only did about 40 different shafts so it doesn't have all of the brands on there.

Hey Mookie, (and anyone else looking for feedback on Falcon Cues) Falcon makes an incredibly well constructed cue, however the standard shaft does leave a little to be desired. There are no tip diameter or taper options available, so you will be getting a 13mm tip with a rather conservative pro taper. Honestly, I wasnt really happy with how my Falcon played untill I put a predator shaft on it. If you have a good shaft with a 5/16 x 14 joint than your set. I know of at least five quality players who have Falcons only one of them plays with the original shaft. If you dont have a good shaft, you may want to get a full Predator, Viking or Meucci cue.
