Neil, Why is it that you cant see the 10 splice in metallic black, blue, and grey p2??? Is it because predator made use of a cheaper kind of wood than the curly maple and the different kind of stain(oak, red, etc.)??? If p2 is all about FEEL then is it better without any wrap so that you can feel more the feedback??? Thank you for your time..... :D :D :D

Doubt that the wood are of cheap qualities, P2 cues are one of the best there is available in the market (production cue wise).

Because they are painted......thats what happens.

They are made from straight grain maple which does not have an "interesting" figure but it considered as a very solid wood.
The curly maple wood looks better and cost more but adds nothing to the playability of the cue

ok, that's quite understandable....where is Neil????? :) :D but do u think that since p2 is all about feel then its better off without wrap since u can feel more the feedback without any wrap....???
P2 is about performance, don't mistake it with feel....
feel is an individual thing, a leather wraped P2 may feel good to me but won't feel good to you while it'll perform and play just as a wrapless P2.

ok, thank you for explaining, i understand the 10 splice in 314 and z shaft. But for the Butt with 10 splice, what's that for? how would it help in the performance???

The 10 piece radial construction gives a more solid hit and a better radial constancy of the cue, which means it'll play the same no matter how you hold it (radial wise).

We like to say that the beauty of a P2 is on the inside. It is the only cue on the market that was designed to be a piece of sporting goods equipment. The ten piece splice gives the cue one single piece of wood running through the entire butt. This gives a lot better feedback, more like a one piece cue. The cue is also designed to get rid of unwanted vibration, everything in the butt or shaft that can cause vibration is set in phenolic material or some type of dampening material. Close your eyes and hit a ball with a regular cue, then do the same with a P2 and you can really feel the difference.

No, the LE9 was not made by predator...LE series are sourced out to companies (I think Mezz made the LE9) that can provide more meticulous work for cheaper than predator.
Predator manufactures the p2. Falcon did make the 4k series butt, however, from what I UNDERSTAND, not know for a fact, Predator has moved on from Falcon.
