I purchased a used predator shaft and it has a longer ferrule than other Predator shafts I've seen. The person I bought the shaft from said that that is how Predator used to make them. Anyone care to comment? I only paid $65.00 for the shaft.

We used a one inch ferrule in the first couple years of production, after that we switched to a 3/4" ferrule.
There is a chance that someone has replaced the ferrule with something other than the original, which would cause the cue not to perform as well as it should.
If you want, you can send the shaft in for authentification, there is no charge for it.
Hope this helps, keep posting if you have any further questions, thanks.
