A while back I played with a nice gentlemans cue that I met at a tournament. It was by custom cuemaker and there was no name on it, just a logo of a fingerprint. It was by far the most balanced cue I ever held but I forget the name. Does anyone know the name of this cuemaker?

Was it in New Mexico? If so it might be an Ojo cue, made by Adam Franks.

Could have been, this was in Texas though (Dallas). I had originally thought it was a Jerry Oliver cue but when I look on there website, they have the JO logo on the butt, not the fingerprint.

You could try contacting Willee at www.willeecue.com He is from South Texas and might know who made that cue. He makes really balanced cues as well. Another person that might be able to tell you who made that cue is Robin Adair. (361) 851-9799 He deals in all sorts of cues and he is in South Texas as well. He might be able to tell you who made that.
If it has the thumbprint (should be below the joint on the butt), then it was made by Adam Franks. While I lived in Albuquerque, I commissioned a cue from him; I went over to his shop and he watched me play a bit on his old Brunswick table, and then he made (and took) suggestions about how he would make my cue. Needless to say, it came out great. Nothing fancy, but plays like a dream, which is what counts. If you're interested, try calling 411 for Adam Franks in Albuquerque. I think he's in the book.

Olivier's older cues had the J.O. on butt. Newer one's have signature between points above wrap....
