View Full Version : jump/break
I wish the Predator BK had a jump joint in the butt. How would the BK's special shaft work with the Lucasi L-SS2? Could it be used with the Lucasi jump-only butt? Would it be possible to do a jump/break conversion on a BK? Thanks in advance!

Don't spend the money on a conversion. Get a Skyward or Bunjee Jump stick (I have both). They are not the prettiest thing out there but it's amazing how effortless it is to jump with these cues. They are available on Ebay for for $59.95 as a buy now and occasionally you you can get one by bidding for $25.00 (I did). My experience with jump/break cues are that they may be ok as a break cue, they are not worth a darn as jump cue! The characteristics that make a good jump cue, 14mm or greater tip, no taper, and a tip so hard that you barely mar it with a chisel, do not make a good break or for that matter, shooting cue. Any mechanic will tell you that the job is a lot easier if you have the right tools and to jump a full ball from 2" away it helps to have the right tool.

Guys,
I have a 314 that I was using on my shooting cue (LSS-3) but once I bought my new custom cue I had no use for the 314. I put the predator on my LSS-2 and used it to break with. What a powerful break. I have used the Predator BK and would argue my LSS-2 with the 314. Now granted the price you pay for the cue and then the shaft you can buy a BK. Since I had the parts laying around I should use them. As far as jumping goes get the bunjee.
