Does you know of anybody making radial laminated shafts (not flat laminated) besides these:
Predator 314 & Z
Owen Bunnell OB-1
Tiger X

I remember seeing an 8 piece radially laminated shaft somewhere, but I don't remember where or who it was made by.

Spartan - -

Atlas Billiard Supplies (http://www.cuestik.com) sells blanks and partials, but I don't think that they build finished shafts - - do they?

I guess not. I have never been on that site. A friend told me about them. He bought a few stuff from there and he took the blank to a local cuesmith and he fitted it to his South West. It kind of plays like a predator but stiffer and it deflects a little more.

Bill Dominiak also makes an 8-splice shaft and since Atlas makes/sells them so can 300+ other cuemakers. Mike Lambros also experimented with spliced shafts......maybe it was laminated, I am not sure though.

I didn’t think through my question very well. Obviously any cuemaker that makes shafts can build a shaft using a radial laminated blank.

What I’m looking for are people that have put enough work into making a top performer to have developed their own special ferrule and their own secret treatment of the tip end of the shaft.

I do have an 8-ply radial made from a Cue Componets blank. It was turned for me by a well respected cuemaker in 2004. He had to try several blanks before he found one that would remain straight.

It looks like Predator, Tiger-X, and OB-1 are the only radial laminated shafts that have special attention to the ferrule and tip end of the shaft.
