Is Seyberts using FedEx Home Delivery service to ship their orders? I just ordered a cue and some other stuff and looking at the tracking info it says Home Delivery for the service. This could be why so many people are complaining about the FedEx service. FedEx Home Delivery isn't really FedEx at all. It's a contractor that uses the FedEx tracking system and they are very unreliable. Their service is supposed to go from Tuesday thru Saturday so no Monday delivery either. They will usually skip out on your Saturday delivery as well since FedEx has no real way of knowing and keeping them accountable so you really end up with 4 days of service during the week.

FedEx tracking says my package should be delivered on Tuesday but the tracking info hasn't updated since it left Seyberts. Again the contractor doesn't really care since they aren't FedEx. I am not holding my breath expecting to see my package Tuesday but maybe I will get lucky and my Joe Nobody private contractor will be more reliable and deliver the package on time.

Please Seyberts if you are using the FedEx Home Delivery service switch to the more reliable FedEx Ground service for the sake of your customers.

Very interesting. I've not heard this before, but could explain the poor shipping service I've had from FedEx, or their contractor, lately.. Thanks for the info...

One thing though, you can always change your shipping method when placing your order. That is my plan for future ordering, switching to UPS.

True but with the free FedEx shipping you could end up paying $20 more for your order. From my understanding the difference in price between FedEx Ground and FedEx Home Delivery is typically a couple dollars. FedEx Ground has always been faster and more reliable that UPS for me so I would rather have FedEx Ground.

One way or another doesn't really matter to me. It's just that when I am expecting a $500.00 order and the tracking info says I should see it on a certain day, and I don't actually get it until 4 days after that day then I start to get a little ancy. That kind of dough is rather important to me and I don't care for any unexpected delays.

I'm with you. I don't really care how it is shipped either as long as it is reliable. It really comes down to FedEx Ground being in FedEx's hands right to your door vs. FedEx Home Delivery which hands it off to a 3rd party to deliver it. Some may be very good about getting the package to you and others many be lazy and let the package sit in their car (yes they supply their own vehicle) for 3-4 days before they get around to delivering it to you.

Just to add to this, Fedex attempted to deliver my order today but wouldn't because it was sent direct signature required. I couldn't even send them to a neighbor's house to sign because direct signature means it has to be signed for at the address to be delivered. The point of the Home Delivery service (according to Fedex) is to allow for later delivers when residents are home to recieve the package. They attempted deliver at 1:45PM. That is not later! Of course I was home all day yesterday but Home Delivery does not deliver on Mondays. And the kicker is that because it was sent Home Delivery I can't even go pick the damn thing up! They don't allow it. So now they will retry to deliver it tomorrow, probably in the afternoon when I am not home (Thanks Home Delivery).

I guess I should be happy that they at least tried to deliver it when they said they would. Home Delivery is nothing more than a less reliable business delivery in sheep's clothing.
