Unless CA has some kind of crazy kind of internet or mail order sales tax, and being the Peoples Republic of California it wouldn't surprise me, then I would say no. Most of the time with anykind of mail order the only time you have to pay sales tax is when you live in the state that the merchandise is being shipped from. Seyberts is in MI by the way. :)

Or if that company has an office, store, etc. in your state, which afaik, Seyberts has no presence in Califnornia.

That is because they are located in CA. Check out their contact info, and you will see...
Pardon me! i live in Indonesia so i am quite surprised with the sales tax as I am planning to buy online. Btw u know how much the sales tax is?

You may live in Indonesia, but you are asking to have your cue shipped to California, and that is why they will charge sales tax. They have to, it's the law. Now if you were having it shipped to any other state, there would be no sales tax.
Right now I believe the sales tax in California is either 6 or 7 percent.
because i have a cousin there, he is going 2 transport the cue to here. My transporter :D

And I reiterate.
The Peoples Republic of California
Or how about the USSC
Actually all states require that residents claim internet purchases and pay the tax on their yearly tax returns. Whether this is often done or not is open to debate!

If that was something that they were interested in inforcing I'm sure they would have a campaign about it. If that really is the case it's the first I've ever heard about it. But hey, it wouldn't be the first time my ignorance has made itself known.

If consumers start doing all their purchases on line to avoid sales tax then states and municipalities will be deprived of a significant portion of their revenue stream. In order to cover the lost revenues they will have to RAISE TAXES ON BEER!!!!!!!!!!! And if they raise taxes on beer people will drink less beer. And when people drink less beer suddenly members of the opposite sex will not be so attractive at closing time. This will lead to a decline in the birth rate which will means less people paying taxes which will lead to further tax increases on beer taxes. As this vicious cycle perpetuates before you know it no one will be having sex or able to afford a beer.
The conclusion: If you like sex and beer, by locally.

the real 1 is absolutely better than the cyber 1. . If u come to the store directly (not buying online/ via internet). Do we still get online price and have to pay the sales tax?

If you show up in person in the store you will definetly have to pay sales tax. No way around that one. But if you order from Seybert's and have it shipped to CA then you won't have to deal with any sales tax.

sure i'd love to but no one answers my question about "seybert's price for schon ltd 1022". If seyberts provides me the price, i'd love to order from seyberts since it's sales tax free.

If they don't have it I'm sure they could get one for you. You can try their toll free # @ 877-314-2837. At least that way you would know for sure. Just be sure to take into account for the time differences before you call. It's always worth a shot, especially if it will save you $80-100.00.

thanx alot!
Hi , That cue is no longer available, we do have the LTD 1023 in stock though. We offer a 25% discount on the Schon LTDs that we have in stock.
Sorry we did not get back to you, but our forum is getting a ton of posts a day and it is hard to get thu all of them and still keep the store going. Going through the contact center is a more direct way to get answers to specific questions directed to us at the store.
