Hi Jason.
The 5th Annual Summer Sizzler at the Garage Billiards was a huge success. Sorry you couldn't make it.
There were 61 shooters in attendance.
The calcutta brought in apprx. $8000.00 beans.
If one were to have bought themselves, 1st place paid apprx. $3500.00.
I drew Ronnie Wiseman my first match. Needless to say I had to dump. LMAO!
Seriously though, Ronnie DRILLED me 7 to 1 in a race to 7...and that's giving me 1 game on the wire.
I shook his hand and told him..."Thanks for being my rack boy" (Loser breaks)
Here's the top finishes after this 2 day event.
1st- Jason Kirkwood
2nd- Adam Smith
3rd- Ronnie Wiseman
WIth Juan Garcia picking up either 4th or 5th. ( I wasn't there on the second day)
Also in attendance was Norm " Porky" Wines who was knocked down into the losers early on, but still made it into day 2.
Francisco Diaz was strong on day one, but I don't think he finished in the money.
Not sure where Tim Roberts finished.
Ruthie Taylor didn't play as she was organizer and tourny director. And she did a great job!!
I don't know where all the girls were, as there were only 3 of us in it.....Tara Davis ( who performed brilliantly as usual) another girl and myself. Hope to see more in the future.
Hope you guys can make the next big one. I think it's slated for October. I'll keep you informed.
BTW: Get yourself over to Pittsford on a Monday night and get qualified for the 9ball tourny of champions that will be held sometime around labor day. (if you haven't already)
Take care.
Michelle
