Just a friendly fun movie fact. The Balabushka that was used in the Color of money was a Joss. I have seen the replicas that Joss still puts out. The new Balabushkas are junk made overseas. LOL

I would not say they are junk exactly. They are decently made cues. But not for their price, and they are definitely not the same as a real Bushka, obviously. They are however Japanese made production cues.
But hey, you get a certificate of authenticity... lol

What does it certify? That they come from Japan? LOL

They certify that's it's a genuine reproduction, not a fake reproduction like those jealous people make. I believe they send out the certification to let you know that they legally bought the rights to use the Balabushka name.

So I should have the certificate so people know it's a geniune reproduction, instead of the Balabushka I bought from Mexico that is missing an A on it. LOL Just messing around, trying to be funny. LOL

je je... Yeah, it is humourous that it comes with a cert... But hey, I've seen stranger things...

Among the greatest cues for the money. 'Nuff said.
(Ok, maybe not. I noticed there are some Joss haters trolling the boards. I never gave a second thought to sticking a 314 shaft on mine and intended to do so from the moment I got it, thinking along the lines of the Ralf Souquet RS series even before those came out. Or get a meucci shaft, I don't care. When you pick a Joss up from where they make them after talking to the Janes folks about what style of ebony you'd like, birdseye maple, etc. etc. then will you understand.)

Which is better? A Viking or a Balabushka? According to Meucci's Black Dot Shaft Video, the Bushka had less deflection than a Viking. I just wanted to see what others would say.

Personally I like American Made cues, but I am bias towards them because of there quality. You can get the forgien cues a lot cheaper, but I think you get what you pay for if you know what I mean.
So based on your question I would go for Vicking, but McDermott has the better warranty! LOL

So America makes better cues than anyone else in the world?

Southwest, Josswest, Cognoscenti, Bluegrass, PFD, Runde, the list goes on and on. Not to say that there are not good cue makers overseas but for the most part, yes, America makes the best cues.
Then we get into cues like Schon, Jacoby, Jackson, Pechauer, Viking and McDermott so I guess you could say Wisconsin makes the best production cues.
