Yeah...so since it's been kinda cold lately, do I need to worry about warpage? I was reading through the posts and someone mentioned something about cold weather and cues warping? Do I need to "warm my package up" when I receive it? =P Sorry, I know...I'm such a n00b. >_<
That's actually probably not a bad idea if it's shipped in real cold weather.
Generally during shipping it's inside a building/vehicle/something...but if the package was cold I would remove it and allow it to warm to room temp before I played it.
FWIW I can tell you that Seybert's ships cues well insulated in bubble wrap so it would change temps very slow in transit and they shipped mine from Michigan to Ohio in one day with standard shipping. I would guess Florida would be 2 maybe 3 days, but Seybert's could answer that better.
I can also tell you that they ship in a tube that would, no kidding, probably survive a bomb blast.
I was so impressed with the tube I took it outside, after I removed the cue, and drove our 5,500# GMC Z71 over it and it didn't deform. I kept it just in case I need to ship a cue anywhere.

That's who they used for mine.

I love those tubes! I am now collecting them! They are damn solid! 8)
And I would not recommend FedEx either lately.
