When in Dec. do you think we will be able to see some of those KJ cues?
Maybe in time for Christmas?

Yeah, from the article that Sid posted in the general discussions forum.
They are made by the cue maker that does Seybert's custom work.

Hey Sid or anyone else at Seybert's. Do you have any pics that you can post of these cues, or any info about them as far as their construction?

I think that they are a bit expensive

Yeah, but the one on the bottom is gorgeous to not have any inlays. 8)

Might wanna check your PM's... 8)

On a side note, I do not think they are expensive at all.. Looks like very good work. If you think about it, a top of the line Viking production cue cost more than one of these in hand made form... I think that being hand made, makes up for a lot. Someone's actual time and energy went in to building the cue...

Hello Everyone,
I have been watching this thread, and wanted to thank everyone for their interest in my cues.

One note that caught my eye was the “a bit expensive..."

I wish there were room to move on these but there's not. These are individually hand made using the highest quality materials that money can buy. There's a considerable amount of time spent on their construction. Compared to Schon's entry level cues of similar design (no points / no inlay), my cues come in at $100 less expensive. These are not mass-produced for the mass-market but rather meticulously hand-crafted, one at a time for the discerning serious player who seeks a total performance playing instrument. (Man, I can get wound-up can't I ?).
The only other statement made that comes to mind was about having "no inlays". Actually, each and every deco ring in the handle & the shaft has 12 individual inlays in it. Besides, what could I possibly inlay into that totally gorgeous Birdeye & Burl that could possibly improve it's visual appeal? Lastly, inlays don't make balls, total performance cues do.
For those waiting for a special treat, my pointed cues will be out early next year.

Thanks again for your interest, and I really appreciate everyone’s input. This is the first time my cues have been able to be seen by such a large audience and I am eager for everyone’s input.

I've inlays in my custom cue, and I like them. That said, I really really like the look of the birdseye with no inlays at all. It really speaks enough by itself, and I would not want inlays in a cue like that. A girl on my pool team has a similiar cue built by a local guy here, and it really looks pretty sharp.

As for the price, like I said before... I honestly don't think it is all that much for a custom cue.

One additional note, I think any of those cues would look great with a brown leather wrap.. :)

My fault man. I have never really considered the ringwork as inlays, as most are circular rings of plastic, metal or some other material that have just been slid and glued onto a morticed joint. Anyway, my intention was not to demean your cues in anyway. I actually like the look of your cues. I think they have such a svelt appeal to them that I'm considering a purchase of the #5. I've seen plenty of plain (relatively speaking) cues before, and if your choice of the woods are consistent then yours is one of the most attractive I've seen at anywhere near that price.

I look forward to seeing your other cues as well.

PS, when I say plain, I mean nothing bad by it. As I said this is a very elegant cue. (45-5)

I really like the styling of the cues, unique and attractive. The prices are great IMO. :)
