The other night I made a very shocking discovery. A female teammate of mine breaks the balls very well. I asked her if I could try a few breaks with it, and OH MY GOD!!! This was an Action cue. The first and probably most important thing I noticed was that it was considerably lighter than my break cue. (and I break with an 18 ) I swear I had balls flying all over the place. No pun intended. I also pocketed 2 or more balls on 3 straight attempts.(once again,No pun intended) The cue did have a phenolic tip, and suprisingly enough it was a bj as well. I was fairly impressed as this is probably only a 50 dollar cue. Plus the cost of the phenolic tip ferrule combo.
Anyway, I was pleasantly shocked. 8O :? :D

Was it one of these? (not trying to plug another dealer, seyberts just doesn't sell Action online)

Not quite $50 but still pretty good deal. Does your break cue have a phenolic tip? Just about anything will break well with one. Not trying to dis this particular cue as I've never used one, but I believe it probably says more about the effectiveness of phenolic tips than the cue.

Actually, it's not my cue. It belongs to a girl on one of my lg teams. And yes it does have a phenolic tip. But I think in this case the weight more than anything is whats making the difference. This thing can't weigh any more than 16.5-17 oz. I have a Cue-Tec JB (18 oz) with a phenolic tip. And don't get near the action out of the rack as I did with this Action.
It looks similar in desigh to the one in the link. Although aestheticly a little different. Which I believe that she has owned this cue for 3-4 years. Which could expain the difference in appearance.
