I'm probably going down Wednesday. But maybe not until Thursday. It depends on how well I can manipulate my schedule.

I went down to Toledo on Thursday. Unfortunatley, I couldn't stay long.

I took a road partner with me for one of those "just in case" situations.

Well the guy doesn't like pool at that level. He had a blast getting tortured by me on one of the APA tables, time and time again. But when it came to watching the best of the best match up, he became increasingly bored to the point of agitation. When I asked him why he couldn't find himself enjoying the pro match-ups, I was told "because they get straight in every time, there's no challenge to that." I countered with, "getting desired position is the challenge. How often can you do it? Don't lie because I just played you for over an hour."

That really sent him over the edge, so I took him out of there before he embarrassed both of us.

I also noticed that the entire hotel was non smoking this year. That just might have led to his agitation as well.

Next year, I'm going alone.
