I just ordered a a Predatator cue from them, are they a good honest company to deal with?? I hope so since I already ordered :) Is the Predator cues all there cracked up to be, or just hype? Will I have to get use to shooting with a Predator shaft after playing with Meucci's and MaCdermott's, ect?

thanks All Bobby

Rest assured you bought from a straight shooting bunch of people. Seyberts are a really good bunch. You will have no problems with your purchase and they will stand behind you. :D

Although I haven't ordered anythin from Seybert's it seems that Sid, Bruce, and other employees have stood behind the products they've sold. IMHO, of course.

Bobby,
I've bought several things from Seybert's. One time the wrong thing got shipped, but they were exemplary in straightening it out. I wouldn't hesitate buying anything from them, especially a Predator as they seem to have the best prices around.
I have a Predator shaft on my McDermott. I had it very early on when I started getting serious about my pool so I'm not sure what it's like to shoot with a standard cue, but friends of mine have tried shooting with it and have noticed the difference and these are people with good cues. So I think you'll like the Predator and it may take you some time to get used to it.
Steve.

I'm a repeat customer - nuff said.
You can't go wrong with a Predator shaft. Quality control is good so is the technology. Only thing is if you alternate between playing with a Predator shaft and another brand shaft then you're gonna mix up that computer between your ears.

I am a Customer Service supervisor AND a repeat customer of Seybert's. These guys are teh best. That should answer your question about the company. As far as the Predator shaft, I got one and liked it. I did get rid of it but I am the type of guy that likes to buy new cues alot and I did not want to become "dependent" on having a Predator shaft or a specific joint to match up with my Predator shaft.

Thanks guys, your checks are in the mail... By the way, Bruce is a great guy and if he ever need a job we would love to have him but he is just one of the friends we have picked up along the way. Bruce is a professional photographer and works on his own. I doubt that we could support him with our pay scale. Those cues he has ain't exactly imports.
Thanks again, we really appreciate the compliments. It really makes it fun.

I bought a Pechauer cue from Seyberts without any problems. Of course I had to wait until Sid and Rick were done playing with it :P . In their defense they did put a new tip on it and cleaned the shaft. :P

Hey Easyrider, Have you heard the expressions...

"If you want something good, you have to pay the price"

or maybe "Good things come to those who wait"

or the not so famous..."Hey Rick, I'll bet you Easyriders new cue that I can beat you in a race to seven".

Soon to be followed by "Lucky Out, double or nothing for Bruces next cue"

Followed by"HAH!!! You dogged the nine, clean it up and get it shipped to Easyrider...Do you think we still have his address?

I Still think I would have won the first set if it would have been my turn to shoot with Easyriders New (well kind of) Pechauer.

It is really a high pressure job here trying to get the stuff out to the customers on time ya know. Some times takes three of four hours to get something shipped out. Longer if we play 6 ahead.
I Wonder how other people do it...

At any rate, me and the wife are off to Toledo to shoot in a APA tournament for the rest of the week. So if you don't hear from me I am out having fun.

Oh, and to the guy who just ordered the Pechauer from us...WISH ME LUCK

Using a translation website..this is what I got...

Hello Sid and hello to all the players of yours you leave, I have received the 2k6 predator, truly exceptional, have had to change to all my formulation of game, because predator is to very innovative cues, however thanks, I have made an optimal purchase, to before the test on the green table, I have closed 5 series consecutive without never to mistake!!! l only negative note of this purchase, e' be that all arrival to case of the cues, I have had to pay nearly 500$ of tax that I did not believe and I did not know to pay if he were not for this disadvantage, gia I would have made other purchases near of Seybert' s, and also many friends would want to acquire a predator, are however much serious and are satisfied dell purchase, hope a day of venirti finding or if he passes for Rome scrivimi in mine mail, than I make you to eat the good kitchen piu of the world

Wacky:

You and our Italian friend are saying that a $500 duty had to be paid for the cue?!?!?!?

Deb

In most case, when you purchase products overseas or from another country..yes you have to pay "duty"...that's basically tax and it's based on % of how much the product(s) was. I never really understood the concept of it. The only thing it makes me think of is that Boston Tea Party. :?

Hope everyone has a great happy easter weekend! :)

I mailorder for copper cookware from a distributor in Paris, France. A duty of 30-50% is applied to the final price - still cheaper than for what stores charge here in America.

I just wanted to say for anyone considering purchasing items from Seybert's, that I have purchased several times from Seybert's and have not experienced any problems. When I tried their competition (the XXXXXXX Fanatic) my credit card number ended up in Saudi Arabia.

I just purchased a cue from Seyberts. I received it today!

I received everything in perfect order. Actually, the cue is way nicer when you see it in person. Internet pictures really do no justice to the beauty of a cue.

One of the reasons we are very careful with the responsibility of customers cards. We do not even keep a record of customer cards here at the store unless the customer makes a specific request. (Customers have actually been upset with us because we do not keep them on file with their other information.) I just figure there is no reason to keep things like that around. It might be a small inconvenience, but compared to the problems that could pop us for customers as well as other online retailers like ourselves I figure what the heck.

Man, I gotta get a spell check for this board somewhere if I am going to keep using big words like "inconvenience". Had to paste it into word to make sure... (I had it wrong.)

Dear All,

In 1999 I was a student in London ( I am Indonesian origin), I ordered Lucassi with predator shaft from Seyberts. They are so great, things are all wrapped properly and I have called Rick several times because I have to split between two credit cards at that time and to be honest I was quite worried at first as well. But now I know that they are great company and building their business not only for today, but also for "tomorrow".

Rick, you re such a great guy and thank you for your Seyberts T shirt 3 years ago hahahahhaha...
Oh, I will visit Indianapolis on the 27th April for seminar. I also intend to buy your new predator with unilock!

See you,

Try to make it to the Indy 500 Meusem on your visit to Indy. Great place. The ride around the track is pretty cool to.
