hi guys sorry for my bad english but i am an italian boy, i play pool for some years with a meucci pool cue but i don't really like the soft hit, i really like the very stiff hit of a break cue called sledgehammer.
can you guys tell me some makers who make a cue with a really stiff hit whit almost no vibrations???
thank you and sorry for my very very poor english!!! :P

Schon's are known for a stiff hit along wtih Joss....and your english isnt bad at all! Predator shafts will not be as stiff as some of the solid maple shafts that alot of american cue makers use.

If you realy want a stiff cue then you should try a snooker cue that is made of ash or try a carom cue, Longoni cues are made in Italy and they make great carom cues

Schuler offers something like 11 different shafts, some with a very stiff hit, for thier cues.

As for the joint it should make no difference. Almost all of the flex in a shaft is towards the tip with very, very little at the joint.

i konow the longoni cues very well and i have own 3 of it, a carom cue as the hit i like but isn't good for pool, cause product a spin that make jump the balls if you shot too fast, i have already try it!!! :P
