I am thinking of getting another cue that I don't need and have been eyeballing this line on the seybert site.

Anyone who does or has owned one...did you like it? Was it worth it? What other cues would it compare to.

Thanks in advance.

I purchased a jp-05 about 3 months ago and I am pretty happy with it so far. It was finished very well and looks fantastic. The hit is a bit less firm than I prefer. A friend of mine shoots with a w2w pech that hits considerably more crisply than my implex jp... kind of strange. Maybe someone else will comment on the feel of their jp to compare. You can generate plenty of spin with it, but its not as aggressive as say a Z shaft. I like it better for 8 rather than 9 ball. I am no professional though, so my opinion shouldn't stand for too much. I only break and run 9 ball once in a blue moon and my high run is only 28 balls. I think dags is a pretty tough shooter and he (i think) plays with a stiff shaft, so maybe he can comment about styles the pech would be best for. To me it works as a solid middle ground cue. All in all my friends cue is great, especially for w2w, and mine is mediocre, so you should try to play some before you commit to the buy. hope this helps a little.

I had a Pechauer at one time.....it was there sneaky pete style cue, with a 3/8 x 10 wood to wood joint.....it had a great hit....kinda soft similiar to C and D series McDermotts.....

I have a Pechauer and a Joss West. The Pechauer has a metal joint and the Joss has implex. I prefer the implex joint to the metal since it give a softer hit. Also the Joss has a larger diameter butt, which I prefer - and if I'm not mistaken Shone has a little bigger butt than the Peachauer.

As for quality, I find the Pechauer to be very nice looking and very well made. I think it probably plays as well as any of the other quality cues.
