Can I fit a Predaor Shaft on a McDermott?

I ask because Predator makes shaft for both Viking and McDermott... although the Viking site has a FAQ that states the user must send both the existing Viking butt, and predator shaft, to Viking.

McDermott's FAQ does not mention predator at all, so I wonder if a predator 3/8 10 shaft will pop right on a McDermott that is equipped with a 3/8 10 joint.

Yes you can have a custom fitted predator added to your McDermott or Viking. You do not need to send you Viking cue to Viking to have a predator shaft matched, all you need to do is send the butt end of your cue to a cuesmith (seyberts can do this for you, you can order the cue and select having a predator shaft matched to the cue, this is what I reccomend).

it will fit, by that I mean that you'll be able to screw the shaft to the butt BUT in some case the shaft will not be flash with the butt, for that you'll need to custom the shaft to the butt

I had Seyberts match a Predator 314 shaft to my Viking cue. I had to send my butt back to them so they could do it the right way.

I had them match a 314 to my jacoby and it looks alright to me. But I understand shit happens sometimes, so that is unfortunate for you. I remember you waiting extra time after you sent it back, it would have drove me crazy.

Well...it didn't match the first time because I forgot to tell them I wanted the matching 314. That is why I sent it back. I wanted them to match the 314. It was my fault, not theirs.
