I just bought a brunskwick or klasson pooltable new over Christmas. I paid an extra $200 (I think) for some new type of stronger fabric that lasts longer. ANYWAY, it is buckling/getting wrinkled around all the holes. Bad enough that it will stop a ball from going in if the ball is going slow. I called the place where it was purchased and he said this is common due to high humidity. Any thoughts??????

So it is a personal use table, only 6 months old!? That is BS, unless you are playing 18 hours a day every single day!!

Humidity can cause that to happen. My brothers got an old 9 ft. and had that problem and a good dehumidafier cured it. but his table is in a finished room inside his barn. I wouldnt think you'ld have that much humidity inside your home.

Maybe Cherie is just her Internet name.. And her REAL name is Ariel, and she is a Mermaid, and lives under the sea!!

But seriously, that is a bit off...

Humidity can definitely cause the cloth to become kind of damp and "stretch" out and become loose. It's like anything else, if you soak it in water it tends to stretch. Try doing it to a t-shirt or something and you will see. I would definitely get a dehumidifier or something to suck the moisture out of the air.

Hey everyone, thanks for your input! We DO have a weather station in our home and our humidity is always TOO low, as a matter of fact much of our wood trim has shrunk showing the mitered corners etc., so I really doubt that anything I might buy might work. I really do appreciate all your feedback. Like I said before, there are big bumps/ridges around all the holes (or pockets as you pool people call them). Anyways, I bet the table gets used about an hour a day.

This is a great site, if I (more like my husband) has any questions on pool, I know where to go.

He thinks hes like a pro, but I can even beat him and I've probably played 50 games in my whole life!

I had a slight problem with mine (championship 30/30) around the side pockets..I bought a dehumidifier....it helps, but does not completely solve the problem. I think I just didn't pull it tight enough when we installed....
