I love it, it is such a solid cue. It does what it is supposed to do and is easy to own. The fit and finish is first-rate. I could not be happier with it.

lol, talk about out of the blue..
I feel the same way with my Viking break cue.. Which after the pool hall got mad crowded last night, I tucked the Nitti back in the case, and just played with the Viking. Yes, with it's phenolic tip...

I think I will change the phenolic on the McDermott to a triangle or a water buffalo and play it. How was it shooting with the phenolic?

I didn't even know about that until now, and it just makes me love it EVEN MORE!!!!! :D
That's an awesome program but they are betting very few people will take advantage of it.

Well since I was only playing my boss and a visiting vendor, I was not to interested in the game at the time. Mostly just schmoozing and having a good time. Still, I went undefeated the whole night, and had a couple jaw dropping banks.. :)

McDermott really has a serious customer support. Unrivaled...I wish I liked their cues, then I wouldnt be afraid to take mine out more.

After shopping the internet, asking questions, comparing manufacturing techniques, warranties, and just about anything else a person could check out.
I figured that these things are pretty much like bowling balls..........they all do the job they are made to do if the person behind them does the job they are supposed to do.
I could have spent 700 bucks sure......would I have been any better off? I doubt it. Afterall, its been a very long time since I played the game, and to spend that kind of cash for someones hard work in the detail and inlay work, would have been silly on my part.
After desiding on the cue I wanted, I went down to the local outlet to check thier price, and low and behold it was only 8 dollars less then Seyberts so I snatched it up. Got it home and really gave it the once over and I have to tell you.....the fit and finish of this cue was very much a suprize. I had to go recheck the warrenty and service work offered by Mc Dermott and I dont see another cue maker out there that holds a candle. And since I plan on getting at least 2 more cues just cause I can, I plan to take them up on everything they offer to me on a twice a year deal........I mean why not? With one or two stand by cues, I wont miss rotating one out to be tuned up in the least.

That lifetime warranty is pretty impressive. That may have swayed my decision about 3 months ago when I was buying my latest cue. I ended up getting one of the cheaper Viking's and I love it, but that does sound like a pretty good deal from McD.

I know my choice may not be the best, but then again my skills are not worthy of such expense right now.
Im sure I will be very happy with it and it will most likely last me a long time. Besides, us Irish need to stick together........

Is that one all their cues or just the higher end "Handcrafted Cues" line???
Every cue they make as far as I can tell

I have to agree...I love my McDermott. I just feels solid. I'm trying to step up to a custom cue, but having difficult time finding one that feels and sounds as solid.
