McDermott Butt Cap Removal

I figured this would be the best place for this question, as I have a McDermott M-08 Cue with a Predator 314 Shaft and there is no McDermott Forum that I could find on the web.

Anyway, my question is this... I have 2 McDermott Cues that I want to swap the weight bolts in, but I can not get off the Butt Caps. Can anyone shed some light on how to do this. I don't want to hurt the finish of the cue from removing the bumper with a screwdriver, etc.

Really the only way to get a Mcdermot bumper out is with there tool. You can try something else but you will mess up the finish on your cue. You should be able to pick one up from a local Dealer.

I have mcdermott cue and I use needle nose plier to take the cap off.
It work good and it doesnt wound butcap bad.
