Honestly, I have wondered the same thing myself...

It looks purdy when it rolls???

Maybe for instructional purposes someone could use the many dots as a reference point on where to hit the cue for a specific desired effect... But to me, I do not find anything amazing about it.... However, as with other exacting hobbies of mine... I do things more so on feel than I do on sight... (Possibly Fury know what I am talking about here...)

Maybe I have been playing this game for so long I forgot what it is like to be a novice but to me the spin on the cueball is fairly obvious from what happens.

Plus you can see the cue ball spin, this CB is for TV where it's hard to see the spin but then you can tell if there is spin by the path that the CB takes
